Purchase Easycart

You might want to print out this Quick Tutorial and have it next to you when getting started with Easycart.

After you have signed up for your free trial and have been taken to your Easycart administration page.

1. Bookmark or add to Favorites! Then you will always be able to get back to your admin page quickly.

Enter the password you created.

q1

2. Create a Category. You must create and name a category so you can then enter products/items into it.

q2

3. At the top of the next page you will see the field below. If you have several categories such as Pants, Shirts, etc., put the name here. If you just have a few products you might just name it "Order Page" as below.

q3

4. The simplest way to customize your cart is to then get your logo placed at the top of the cart page. If you have an appropriate logo or image you can find on your computer click the "Upload Logo button. (You can skip this for now and just scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the "Create this Category" button. Then go to #5 below.)

q6

The next screen will look like this:

q7

Click on "Choose File" and then find your logo/image on your computer. The name of the file you choose is important - it should end in .jpg, .gif or some other image suffix.

When you click on the image of choice you will be taken back to the Easycart screen and then click.

q8

Your image will then be displayed on the next screen just below the following view.

q9

If you paste your home page address into the above field your logo will act as a return link to your home page.

Now click

q10

5. Now you are ready to enter a product.

If you have a relatively small image (Easycart does not resize images - it lets you choose the size you want.) you can find for the tutorial choose

q11

If you do not now have an image accessible or need no images for your item - just choose "Add".

If you do choose 'w/images' you will be taken through a process similar to the above logo image method.

6. The next screen will allow you to now enter all pertinent product info - it is very self explanatory. Such things as "Product Name", "Price" etc.

Just a couple of things to note:

The dropdown at the very top. If you have created more than one category be sure to choose the correct category you want to enter this product into. If you do make a mistake you can always go back and "edit" the product later.

q13

Further down you will see three "Product options lists. Use these if you offer product choices that do not change the price of your item. Such as if you are selling shirts and the come in red, white, and blue.

Be sure to title your options list appropriately.

Example:

q14

Once you have entered all the item info you need click the

q15

button.

The next screen will show the format of your newly entered item. If you need to make changes you hit the "Back" button and make the changes. Scroll to bottom and "submit"

6. Publish. When ready go back to your Administration panel (Remember you bookmarked it?) or via your back button or rotating your screens - and "Publish"

q16

The next screen could be used as an index page* - just click the category you created and you will be taken to the category showing the items you entered.

q17

That's it! You have now successfully entered a live shopping cart. Just copy the address from the address bar at the top of your screen such as:

http://www.easycartsecure.com/yourcart/Order_page.html

and link it from your homepage(s).

Now that you see how simple Easycart really is please take time to familiarize yourself with the other areas of Easycart.

You will find it very easy to change colors, formats, email notifications etc. The main thing is that you have a product that people want at a price they are willing to pay. If you have those two things you can keep your cart very simple and people will appreciate it. Easy for you and easy for the customer. It works!

* Most often the index page is not used at all - just link to the various categories as instructed above.
